A sky like this ought to be seen by everybody. I think it would make even the most self-absorbed pause and look at things in a different light.

...and astronomers like me think "oohh, look, there's Scorpius over the wing...". The night sky at altitude is an antidote to hubris - we self-importantly scuttle across a world beneath the pitiless gaze of the universe.

Yes.It gives you a feeling like someone is up there smiling at you...

Appreciable light capture (of stars) in 2.5 sec exposure. Overall picture Noise and Blur are much low ( as the aircraft might be moving in straight line direction). In my opinion The Photographer should have adjusted the camera direction so that the Moon does NOT appear on the Wing tip of B777. The Moon would have appeared much better in Sky along with Stars instead of appearing like Wing Strobe light.

A beautiful picture. How can you take a picture with a 2.5 min exposure from a constantly moving aircraft? Give us a tip how you did it !
