AA203 was operating BAL - DCA and was unable to land at DCA due to heavy snow. Flight retrurned to BAL and held for 75 min, again unable to land due to snow. Crew decided to go to PHL but was unable to use the PHL radio dang due to static. AA203 then headed northeast into worsening weather conditions, with only 30 min of fuel left. The crew decided to crash land on Jones Beach, Long Island. NC21746 was salvaged and sold as scrap.
