After many failed attempts, I was finally able to catch Amerijet approaching runway 10 together with the underwater life of St.Maarten. I used a underwater camera housing to take this kind of shot [EOS 5D MK III + EF 16-35 L IS USM]

Awesome catch Timo. I was with this idea in mind, but with a gopro, not with the DSLR. Congratulations on the achievement of this shot, its very hard. - Thiago Trevisan

Well done, Timo. Best of both worlds, a beauty in the water and a beauty in the air... So 10 stars ;-)

An exceptional capture, so very different to what may expect to see. May I say 'very well done' on a great photograph. Happy 2016 to you.

As a post script to my previous comment, I thought how unique it would be if you had this unique photograph made into a jigsaw puzzle. What a great gift, or even a challenge for yourself. Just a thought. Ian in Brisbane.

I know modern cameras have a lot more tools to help you get a shot like this, but it is still VERY difficult. Synchronizing your subject and the jet, splitting the lens with (always moving) water levels, and no blurs from water drops on the top of the lens, and both in focus, even down to the air bubbles from your swimmer! Quite a catch!
