Having it's radar scanner changed at the British Airways engineering base this aircraft was the first of the ex. Qantas 707's to join the RAAF's 33 squadron based at Richmond NSW in April 1979. 624 was also the last 707 to be retired from the service, it's final flight was on 30th June 2008.

A differant era, a superb shot of a 707, a mk2 Escort parked next to it and even a Triumph Herald further back. And as for the 2 guys working on the radar, bare topped and jeans rolled up. Don't think you'd get away with this today. Hi Viz clothing a must.
