Mfd. 06.26.78. Ex. VH-TBN. Taking off from runway 23R. Definitely a lucky day and one of my best shots ever!!! What else we see??? Uhh, aweee, a tail strike!!!! Once again my favorite aircraft didn't let me down!!! Dedicate this shot to all Aviacsa's former employees. (Nikon N80 with Fuji Provia 100F)

Hope the pilots made a landing after the tower informed them of that tarmac rub.

Very great capture! Sometimes tail-engine aircraft scares me when it comes to that. OWIE!! Everyone must have heard that.

I bet they call that pilot sparky after that. Excellent shot, but I do hope it is not something that can be seen to often.

Boy do I miss that airline...Gotta admit that the although it might not be the queen of the skies, it is indeed the most beautiful aircraft out there, and those winglets give it a sex appeal that no other a/c had equal.

Is this considered an aborted take off or take off and land for damage inspection, ouch!

I wonder whats that smile for?!!

A forced smile ... shave the butt on the asphalt pavement, nearly 200 km per hour, is not pleasant, even if it is aluminum

72 pilots - what causes over rotation and tail strikes? Simply over rotation? A weight and balance miscalculation? Thanks.
