Yes, the A380 is the most amazing bird technologically so far, but the queen is just so much more gorgeous... please Boeing never stop making it...

The A380 might be bigger, but the 747 has lived a loooong time and will ALWAYS be Queen of the skies!

The SuperStar...Always looks like 747 is the Lion and 380 is the Tiger.. Its not the size that matters.. Who the King is... Long live Seven Fourty Seven...

Excellent photo but I just can't get excited over what is essentially just another 747. Don't get me wrong though, I'm glad she lives on!

Superb! Pay attention to the vortices forming on the wings! Awesome shot!

With a nearly 50-year old design, the 747 looks great, and definitely more elegant than the A380. It would be even greater with additional winglets.
Cheers from France.

Excellent capture of the first flight. Is that an instrument of some kind or a drogue trailing from the vertical stabiliser? Oh, and btw, are you related to Otto?

Oh my God! Look at the wingspan! I fell in love with the 747 as a kid and it's perhaps more now. This is truely a most remarkable aircraft and I'm so glad Boeing has decided to keep it going and to keep it's design preserved. Miss the winglets though, but no big deal. Thanks David Lilienthal. Too bad I won't get to see it in Jamaica but who knows... Awesome!!!!!

Ok, this is a sixties project, but almost everything in this acft is brand new: new wings, engines, interior and system; a streched upper deck in opposition to the original 747-100. This is a totally brand new acft. I'm sure that she will have more market than we imagine. Long live the Queen!

To all our friends from the United Kingdom, please excuse us. Because the 747 is Americas closest thing to royalty. Long live the Queen. Americas Queen of the skies is simply "Iconic".

Simply Majestic, the most beautiful airliner ever. I love the purity of the lines. Every photo taken at this stage of flight really shows how imponent the aircraft is. Beautiful, simply beautiful
