Aviation Photo #0004088 Boeing 777-367 - Boeing

This is not an Icelandic Airliner, but the latest Boeing 777-300 prototype. It spent Saturday April 18, 1998 doing crosswind landings and take-offs at Keflavik. We know that Keflavik is windy, but evidently its fame has spread to Seattle. The aircraft is shown taking off for home on April 19, rotating at exactly 3500 feet on runway 11 as the pilots said it would.

Do I see RR-powered? GE 90 is obviously the one and only right choice for the 777.... Also the only one option for the 300ER due to its incredible power. It is bigger, just looks better and doesn't fail as much as the RR, like with the BA 777 and also on a Malaysian 777, 9M-MRI, in winter '05 in Sweden. That one made for an epic take-off shot tho.

It is a Cathay bird (as you can tell from its -367 designation), and is still in service!
