Royal, in this time of 787 bashing, a nice moral booster such as this is very welcome! Sweet shot, perfectly exposed, and a very good opportunity to see the high-tech layout of Boeing's newest airliner.

Few buttons and more hi-tech make it easier to understand how that beautiful stuff works! still don't know if the joystick is better...anyway, the HUD and the nice curved seats make that cockpit even more aesthetic and futurist!

Nice one! i love the screens, the seats and the round style of the middle console.
but i think thats it...
in addition i think that the two main windows are pretty small due to their shape, but that may result of the pic´s angle.

Coming from a B738 pilot.
Where is the APU Fire warning switch? I believe i see the two for the engines, but not for the apu?
Seems like this will be updated further in the near future... Nice clean cockpit however, just the way boeings should be.

The navigation display is a bit narrow in my opinion, when compared to the 777 or 747 nav displays. Perhaps there's an option in the software to utilize the full screen instead of half.

Looks like the Gulfstream's "Play 'N View" cockpit. This kind of cockpit on the Gulfs are simply the best, but it does not fit to a Boeing. Don't like it at all.

I love all boeings aircrafts especially the 747-400

Love the detailed and very clear instrument panel..the 1st officer has excellent visibility of the panel and the outside view. Cockpit color scheme is perfect and the 'glass cockpit' may take some 'getting used to.'

I don't like those oversized screens. To me Boeing has always been about classic but still modern cockpits and this one is starting to look too much like an Airbus product.

Why couldn't they just keep the 737NG look?

The HUD was a needed element. Accessable for the both the captain and 1st officer. Perfect cockpit added to a near perfect airplane.

Although this is very futuristic i dont like it. it makes me remember a train's cockpit. i hope that in the future of aviation pilots dont become some kind of train drivers. the people that designed this cockpit got too worried about with the ergonomy and the looks. when they made the concorde they didnt give a damm about looks. its supposed to be a cockpit not a living room.

Marvelous! There is a reason why Boeing didn't introduce sidesticks like Airbus, because if they did so, they would say that Airbus was right for over 30 years and they where wrong and they can't do that. Furthermore There are not often HUDs in big airliners because they are able to land down to 75m RVR without a HUD and the only time they would need them is for T/O. Normal T/O minima is 125m and with a HUD you could have less, not many need this.
