British Airways' first two Boeing 747-436s made the 9 hour 45 minute flight from Seattle to London Heathrow together, arriving at 07:30 on July 27th 1989. London ATC agreed to allow both aircraft to approach and land simultaneously on runways 27L and 27R. Lima Charlie can be seen about to touchdown on 27R, with G-BNLA in the background having touched down seconds earlier on 27L.
