FOR SALE : Lovely house, private garden, easy car park, quiet neighbours, and sometimes big and noisy birds flying around. Make offer.

One of the best photos this year, the most incredible part is the aircraft's shadow on the ground. Very well done! -HGabor

PC Vote! Awesome, awesome, awesome ... Superb light, perfect setting and well executed. And it is at SAN instead of LAX ...

It's so clear you can see the flight crew! I wish you could capture this view on finals at Heathrow.

That's my neighborhood, Bankers Hill! There she is flying over Union and Ivy Streets with Brant and Ivy Streets in the background. The little white things on the sidewalks are "No Parking" signs temporarily placed while the city did noticeable street work at the time. Ironically, the B772 is among one of the quietest jets that flies over our neighborhood. Great photo!

Quality images of this nature are quite difficult to achieve. This one is certainly above average, well composed and edited and as such is my choice for today. Interestingly it seems the BA triples previously servicing LAS were simply reallocated to the SAN route as ship MD was among one of the regular LAS visitors prior to the upgrade to a jumbo.-Randall Johnson

I like how you can see the shadow of the 777 behind it! I gives you a sense of how low it is!

Vote: 5 of 5 Stars! Why is there a sign "Please do not Touch" in the garden???? ;-)

One of the best pictures I have seen! I am not too familiar with the SAN area, from where is this taken?
Anonymous

I didn't know that San Diego could hold a 777 since it's so small of an airport.

Interesting to see how the engines are pointed inwards.

Absolutely perfect alignment. Exactly in the middle.
What I find odd is that the engines don't look that big from this angle. From other angles the engines on a T7 look way bigger

Thanks Nicolas and keep up the great work, finally a LAX style shot from my home airport, a fine picture from America's finest city!

Nice shot, however, take a look at the wing tips, looks like raked wingtip like on the 777-200LR or the 777-300ER & seeing that ba only operates the 777-300ER I'm wondering if this aircraft could one of them?

Nicolas, you're a maniac - we need more people like you ! Compared to a standard "blue sky" shot, there is so much detail that you can look at this image over and over again and see something new every time. Interestingly, there doesn't seem to be anybody about. Me - I'd be out on the front porch with a beer !

From Canada,
Probably the most stunning Airliners 2011 photo. Btw if you look closely, you will see "at least" one person, under the RH main gear, but she's not looking at the 777 at all ??

SAN is an incredible place for spotting. Never forget that the Spirit of St. Louis was born just across the street from the runway threshold.
