However, great documentary picture, gives us a completely new perspective of surrounding terrain height... Amazing that all finished without mayor casualty. Thank you for this insight.

To the visitors questioning the winglets... Yes, that is a 735 with winglets.. part of Continental's plan to extend the life of some of their older Boeings... Southwest Airlines also has a few with winglets as well

I didn't know that CO's 735 are equipped with winglets. Anyway, the most important thing is that nobody got killed!

I remember when this happened, i was sitting at home watching some movie and the news came on and told us this plane crashed. I live not too far from D.I.A. and my mom works at a hospital near the airport. She was at a party when i called her to tell her about it. She was at a party with a bunch of people rom work. When i told her she said "oh crud that means our hospital is going to be busy." Sure enough it was but she wasn't called in.
