A sight like this was unimaginable but it only came alive again because of this god forsaken Covid-19 pandemic. It was only the first time after ~+5 years that an Iran Air quad visited Mumbai after they ceased their B742 and SP operations and fortunately its one of the rarest they have in their fleet. An ultra rare Queen of Iran Air who has seen 5 different operators before in her 33 glorious years of service is seen here at Mumbai carrying out essential services duty. Delivered to MartinAir Holland in 1988 registered PH-MCF and eventually ending up with Iran Air in 2007 as EP-ICD, B747-200C at Mumbai International.

Nice catch : I operated this aircaft with Martinair for many years.
Small addition : EP-ICD is not a 747-200M (combi), but a 747-200C (convertible, with nose door), the last built of only 13.

Hi, delighted to know that you worked on her for many years at MartinAir and I'm sure those were wonderful days for you. And thank you very much for the small addition, I will make the appropriate changes.

A convertible with a nose cargo door, didn't know they existed. Thought they were all side door only. Must be odd sitting next to the door in the nose section.

Yes, they are extremely rare now a days since there are only 13 of them built and getting to witness one is a very fortunate event.
