"Shat-al-Arab". Iraqi often used the 747 on their scheduled services to Frankfurt, but for some reason YI-AGP showed up very rarely. It is seen here on a rainy Saturday afternoon operating for Egypt Air. Delivered to Iraqi 7/82. Stored at Tozeur, Tunisia since 1991. [Kodachrome 64]

Iraqi Airways has an attractive color scheme, so much better than the boring all-"white" body trend.

I saw this airplane at Tozeur on a flight DTTJ-LFST (operated by Tunisair; we landed at Tozeur for some technical reasons) in April 2006. I was looking for photos of this airplane since that date and thanks to the remark of your photo, I found some ! Many many thanks from Strasbourg. Hugo
