"Dr Albert Plesman" touches down at Toronto. Delivered to KLM October 19, 1975, this classic 747 received a stretched upper deck conversion in 1992. A full Cargo conversion was carried out in 1998 and the airplane went to Martinair in 2003. To Southern Air Transport December 2006 as N748SA.

Nice to see a 742 with the GE CF-6-50 but I am pretty sure this one was not delivered in October 1970 as there's no way Boeing could have built this 271st 747 in less than 11 months since the first Pan Am 741 entered service in January of that same year. Also, Boeing and GE didn't strike a deal until mid 1972. I figure this 742 was delivered in 1976 so it's looking pretty dirty for one year old. ;)
