Diverted to Ottawa due to severe weather in Toronto. We had some nasty weather of our own just earlier as evidenced by the dark clouds and wet runway. The Westjet aircraft in the background was one of at least 20 aircraft scattered around the field, holding short of the ramp due to a red alert (lightning in the area) that caused the closure of ground operations for about 3 hours. ATC had quite the mess to clean up after it was all said and done.
