What could very well be considered now as a regular to MIA, the 727s perform daily, if not more flights to and from the Caribbean islands. Both Kalitta (Operating for Amerijet) and IFL can be seen at MIA regularly flying the Jurassic Jet

Great shot. Is this one of the less than 50 727s in the world still airworthy?

Thanks! Yes it is, it’s a daily regular at MIA right now actually. They’ve been quite busy down here.

So nice to see there are still some of those beauties making money for their owners. Great shot!

Thanks! Yes it really is, we are hoping the DC-8s start flying more again down here as well!

love the 727 - watching them land with the flaps fully extended .. thanks for the shot!

My pleasure! I couldn’t agree more they look so different compared to any modern aircraft. A time when lift at slow speed required a massive surface.

It'd be worth the trip to MIA just to see and hear. For those unfamiliar with MIA, from where was this photo taken?

This was taken just off the side of the road on NW 67th Ave whilst the jet was landing on RWY 8R.

Seems this one had been fairly frequently visiting Seattle this summer as well. Saw her up there a couple times.

Cool! Connie has a lot of flights here at CVG, but those are mostly 747s. What's even more cool about this three-holer is that she has winglets!
