Seen parked at gate 27 wearing "I Love New York" sticker for new SEL-ANC-JFK flights started in April 1979. First flight was March 17, 1972. Delivery date was March 31, 1972. Other serials - D-ABYH with Condor wearing FN YH. Wears FN 442 with Korean Air Lines. Sadly, W/O September 1, 1983 with Korean Air Lines as HL7442 near Shakhalin Island over Okhotsk Sea when she was tragically shot down. There were 269 fatalities - r.i.p.

This aircraft and all people on board were victims of the Iron Curtain and the cold war. My sentiments to all the people killed in this act of terror.

Sadly, this aircraft was a victim of the Cold War and the Iron Curtain. Unfortunatelly, all 269 on board were killed in an act of war. We will never forget them.

I used to fuel this aircraft at LAX. My autograph is on the inside of the fuel door somewhere on the bottom of the ocean.
