Why are the screens so small? you would think that they would make them bigger

It's because this was back in the late 90's early 2000's when AVOD was just really being born and IFE was being revolutionized. This was an old DC-9 that Legend Airlines purchased and converted to an all Business/First (depending on one's standards! haha) configuration to include live satellite television in every seat and fresh gourmet meals; basically the US domestic version of OpenSkies, SilverJet, etc. and they operated out of Dallas Love Field. In order to comply with the Wright Amendment Legend had to limit the amount of seats operated to destinations outside of states that directly touch Texas (I believe) therefore they attempted this one class configuration which ultimately failed.
