Well, yuck. Unfortunately, this livery does not get a lot better when applied to other types besides B747.

Good old classic MD-11, great to see it still flying. Pity about the livery, so much in terms of lost opportunity. If they really want to go minimalist, they should get rid of the tail colour and just have a black/dark blue crane on the tail. But hey, what do I know about branding.

Beautiful shot of a beautiful plane. But the new livery is boring and utterly lacks personality. It looks cheap, in my mind not becoming of such a great airline. The yellow added a nice bright touch. I miss it already. Again, I do like the photo.

Lufthansa has worn UTA's livery but with a difference: UTA's DC-10 back in 1973 looked original and spectacular like a spacecraft,while LH's MD-11 looks incomplete. Copying is always lacking... UTA's livery highlighted the peculiarities of the new aircraft design and made the best of it.

MD-11 wears any colours nicely. Maybe if we all beg, LH will paint the crane logo yellow to liven it up a bit!

It's great to see the MD-11 flying with new livery. The new livery will become more accepted in time.

Just my opinion, but if they just had added a cheat line, it may have worked. Anything to save a buck I guess. Two steps backwards Lufty.
