A Turbo Porter on skies sits on the icy surface of Franz Josef Glacier's natural runway. This landing location is not far from Aoraki, New Zealand's highest mountain. After the landing there was some time to admire the splendid blue skies at an altitude of around 2200m, have a look down to the rainforests on the Western Coast, the Pacific Ocean, and to enjoy the snow before the sightseeing flight back to Mount Cook airport.
