Economy Class cabin seen while deplaning NW58 Memphis-Amsterdam, with a full load of passengers today. Only a few days later, the DC-10 was retired from all Transatlantic flying for Northwest, and replaced with modern A330s.

Is this a 2-52 Configuration??? Or do my eys play tricks on me? If it is, that must have been very annoying while transatlantic routes or some other longdistance flights

To the visitor from Germany... that really is a 2-5-2 configuration. It was pretty popular in the 70s and 80s, but United Airlines maintained a sort of 'cult following' and equipped even their first 777s with 2-5-2.
