I love the fact that it's an older plane. But it looks like it just rolled out of the factory

Amazing picture, brings back a lot of nice memories. I wish they would still fly me out of my hometown Berlin. Well, gone but not forgotten...

I really miss PanAm, one of the pioneer carriers. My second intercontinental flight from Helsinki to America, I flew PanAm. That was in 1986, Helsinki-Oslo-London/Heathrow by B737-200, and on to San Francisco by B747-200. - Proud to have been flying this magnificent airline!

So glad to see a 727 with the livery of an old and great airline. This one looks great, all in white with blue letters. The blue stripe and black letters livery in the 707-400 was awesome. Remmeber that one? T.B.

Is that an Embraer 120 in the background? This must be earlier than 2005!

Actually PAN AM is in business again. As far as I know they started operating out of old air-force base in New Hampshire. It is called Pease International Airport right now. They mainly fly for BostonMaine Airways to ATL and Florida.I have worked at Manchester Airport for US Airways ( 1998-2002)in NH and I have seen them flying from yearly 2001 if I remember correctly. It's great to see clippers again.

Awesome photo. Bringing back an old favorite and will not be forgotten. The Airline's website says that the Pan Am service is offering limited service on the east coast of the US and charter flights. Sign me up!

A trip back decades to when Pan Am meant supremacy. The Photog's seredipitous (we all depend on blind luck) use of lighting conditions made this an attractive composition. But to call it a "Clipper"? Ingenuous. My favorite Pan Am seat was the far right seat in the first row of first class in any Pan Am Clipper 747 and watching the runway come up on final. Those were the days when the Captain was happy and proud to show you around the front office. But the blue sphere on the vert stabilizer does create a streak of nostalgia to one who recalls the great days of commercial flying.

Good ol' 727, the loudest bird in the sky (At least the loudest I've heard).

I remember flying one of these to the Bahamas back in 1989 at the age of 4. Good times.

Photo has great composition, excellent use of backlighting and a great subject. If it weren't for the watermark it would be perfect.
