Forty years after, and the largest piece left is this bit of cowling. Paradise Airlines 901A turned the wrong direction on a missed approach to KTVL in a snowstorm. It wound up on the side of this mountain killing all 85 on board, March 1, 1964. TVL airport visible at top left.

This is the only photo I've seen of this crash. It happened when I was in second grade. A classmate's parents were on board.

The photo show the remains of a grim story on a beautiful mountain top. The surround waters and beach provide a clear deapth of field enbracing the quite and scienic location of Lake Tohoe.
