One of the early, piston-engined Porters (the 9th off of the line), equiped with skis for operation on snow. This photo was taken by my grandmother, and I discovered this slide in her basement. My grandfather and she used this plane to go skiing in out-of-the-way places. By the way, this was Ektachrome, so here is proof that it too can survive long periods.
