The second C-17A destined for the Qatar Emiri Air Force is captured just after emerging from the paint shop at Long Beach wearing this awesome livery, the first C-17A to ever to sport an airline livery.

It's a definitely beautiful Globemaster. I hadn't imagined this plane in an airline scheme until today but she has a really nice shape for civil scheme as well as military gray color.

I think the C-17 looks amazing in an airline livery and would love to see it in other paint schemes as well. Well done!

Wow! That's what I call special. A military plane waring a civil, airliner livery. I love it. They should keep it this way. Would be a nice camo like the old soviet airforce planes wearing Aeroflot liveries.

What a catch! I think for a moment that the "BC-17" project was alive again... Nice picture and thanks for it. Cheers.

You know...I would have never thought that I'd see C-17 fly the stratosphere in a Qatar Airways livery. But I'll admit, it looks very acceptable in a more "colorful" scheme than just the traditional gray that the Air Force uses. Wonderful picture and remarkable clarity.

Airplane is beautiful. Its actually a Qatar air force aircraft. I don't find it very odd that they used their civilian airlines livery, considering the Gov't of Qatar owns the airline.

Intresting!!! I thought the concept of the MD-17 or the civilian version of the Globemaster III has been revived

Mmm... I wonder if it could be made into a double-decker passenger jet? It is really cool to see a plane like this in an airline livery. Great stuff!

Think this example is destined for use in support of the Emir, carrying limousines etc as part of the Amiri flight, most of the other aircraft used in this purpose carry standard Qatar Airways schemes. Looks stunning however, does raise the question of Boeing reviving the BC-17 proposal to keep the line running

OK, I'll be the first... a beautiful C-17 painted in a horrible paint scheme. The livery does not belong on this military jet. Awful, Yuck!!

This is a very interesting photo. Its a beautiful C-17, but the Qatar Airways colors look truly out of place and awful.

This is the second C-17 which is going to the Qatar Emiri Air Force, it is not owned by Qatar airlines so im not sure why its painted in their livery, the other Qatari C-17 left Long Beach earlier the day that this photo was taken in the normal grey military colours with QEAF titles on it.
