This is the most fantastic photo I have yet seen on here. The god's-eye view, the incongruous contrast of the virginal-white contrail with the fossil fuel-sullied atmosphere, the somehow ominous purposefulness of that incredible piece of technology barrelling towards...what? Seeing that huge amount of exhaust over such a short distance and imagining it multiplied by thousands of miles by tens of thousands of times a day makes this photo as unsettling as it is beautiful.

Such clarity and beauty. The orangish clouds look like the sea, and you can make out two of the engines on this great Russian bird! You can also see the shadow of the contrails on the clouds below. Definitely 5*****, and you've left me begging for more!
