The lower deck of the A380 which compared to the upper deck, is jampacked full of test equipment. Some interesting things were pointed out to us on our tour of the aircraft. The orange frame is for the crew to navigate through the aircraft in the event that they have to evacuate, even in flight during a test flight and parachute out of the aircraft. The water tanks are to add weight, otherwise the aircraft would be too light. And last but not least, the real toilets are not installed yet :-) [Nikon D70]
