A photo that I have always had always attempted...finally! A night landing shot into Singapore. I photographed about 30 frames, hoping that one would be sharp! You can see the skyline of Singapore (the purple circle in the centre is the Singapore Flyer) as we make the final descent whilst flying PEK-SIN. Considering my son had a fever on this flight, my wife was stressed about it, and I had to take this photo with a blanket over my head to cut out the cabin lighting it was worth the effort [Nikon D3]

Another beautiful shot from you Andrew. Very nice work. I too attempted these shots while coming into SIN. Extremely dificult with the aircraft bouncing around, cabin lights and specially its a night shot. Well done mate. Keep them coming.

At night, in flight yet essentially sharp apart from slight acceptable motion blur. Truly remarkable. Well done

5* I've tried this a couple of times except once it was day time and i didn't have my camera, the other it was too dark, and the other times I was on the right hand side inbound for 2C!!

Andrew - that scenario sounds so familiar to me from my lucky Northern Lights shot - the blanket over the head, the 30 or so frames with the hope of just one coming out right, and when it does, what a bonus. Fantastic shot!

A view which will forever remind me of 'coming home'...nothing quite like seeing all the ships in the Roads off the East Coast of Singapore on the way in to Changi...thanks for (yet another) memorable shot, Andrew

This is just an ultimate shot.
You are right, such a shot, and that too at night really takes a lot of attempts and effort.
Marvellous!
Also, give the situation you were in during the flight, this is just an amazing job!!!

Yes, it is always a great feeling when you finally succeed in something that you wanted to do for so long, like taking this picture for instance.
And you have succeeded, because I find this a beautiful picture and all the ships in the water give a nice effect.

Indeed it must be quite challenging to take. Almost no light, high speed and the stress on the cabin.

I took off at night from Changi and had the luck of banking and seeing the airport and city. Quite impressive and beautiful, I won't forget it.
