Some colourful airliners in the desert. The brand new 737-800 was flown here straight from the factory!

Maybe the Chinese owners at Spring Airlines remembered that their entire fleet of 32 aircraft was made up of A320s and figured it would cost too much in maintenance , training of crews and certification processes to get 738s. Oh well at least for now it's a pretty little 738 catching some rays before they 'white-tail' it.

Why was it flown here straight from Boeing, even if this airline didn't want to put it into service straight away you would think it would be better to have it in Japan waiting to enter service? Very Confussed..

Can anyone please post if this is common for Brand New planes to be flown straight to storage? Thanks..
