When applied to new aircraft it just shows that these liveries are timeless and can endure, why do airlines always feel the need to 'update' their unique image to something that blurs them with the competition.

When I first laid eyes on this image, (forgive me, Airbus fans), but I thought this was a Boeing 707. It is the radome/nose that made me think this. Still, a fantastic capture, with this the livery Turkish should still be using. It is unbelievably beautiful.

Very much same on their DC-10 / A310, as I remember them in mid 1980's. Thank you for memories! F

I don`t know if it is just a matter of nostalgia for the past. But one thing is clear for me: Retro colors look good on any modern aircraft. Air France, KLM, Aer Lingus, Lufthansa, United, American Airlines and many other airlines around the world have successfully applied the retro livery on most of their fleets. This trend keeps going with Turkish Airlines. In short, 5 stars for this pic.

I remember in the early 1990's when I was at Heathrow as a young boy I was so happy when I saw the arrival of a Turkish Airlines A310 in this retro livery instead of the normal 1990's livery which is quite similar to the current one. I found it and find the current livery very boring.
