The Avro Shackleton was a development of the Lancaster and Lincoln series and was operated by the Royal Air Force in the maritime reconnaissance and airborne early warning roles. Reminds me of when i was a kid in the fifties.my dad flew in these at st mawgan and st eval with 42 sqn.i have his logbook-he often flew in wr951/952 which were obviously made just before this one.i must get back to england to have a look at this.
