Suspended from the roof of the Liberty Museum in Overloon, Holland. ex RAF TP263, ex Indian Air Force HS649 - with tail of TP285. Rebuild to resemble a Spitfire F.XIVc in fake markings as NH649/3W-F in the colors of 322 'Dutch' Squadron. NH649 was only applied as this was a Mk.XIV and it resembled the Indian registration at a time when the real former RAF identity was unknown, but the original NH649 never flew with 322 Squadron

My father-in-law, Norman Gibbs. was one of the few British pilots who flew with 322 (Dutch) Squadron and thus flew this mark of Spitfire. I have sent him the link to this photo, as I am sure he will be interested (even it is not a genuine 322 aircraft). Earlier I sent him an article on Bram v/d Stok who commanded the squadron during the time he served with it. Van der Stok was only one of 3 airman who made it home after "The Great Escape" from Stalag Luft 3. Great photo, great aircraft.

No one likes a wise guy, but I am fairly sure this is not a 394 Spitfire FR18E. 394 FR18Es had the fuselage cut down aft of the cockpit and a bubble canopy. I'm not an expert, but someone should confirm this is what it is posted as because no other Mk.18E on ANet looks like it.
