Nice to see some Tomcats left in the yard! On January 4, 1989 F-14A 159437 (far right, wings swept back) shot down a Libyan MiG-23 in the 2nd "Gulf of Sidra incident". A historic airframe and one I hope finds a home on display at a museum someday!

Great to see a few F-14's still in the Boneyard. I saw a glimpse of BuNo 164602 in VF-213 markings in 2017. Hope they give 159437 a home at Pima.

Thank you everyone for the kind words! This birds sister ship that also recorded a Libyan MiG kill is on display at the Udvar Hazy wing of the Smithsonian at IAD. Since this jet has yet to be broken up let’s keep our fingers crossed it too will find a home in a museum for all to enjoy
