Truly the most hideous of all of United's liveries. White lettering on a gray background? Barely visible blue horizontal stripes on a dark blue tail? The 'tulip' logo that's way too small for the space on the tail? So glad that livery is gone for good.

I remember hating the battleship gray when it first came out, growing to love it and being do disappointed when they did away with it. And this pic proves my point that the 27 was the most eloquent plane when airborne. The sweptback wing, the large tail with the #2 engine. Really miss them.
