Surprising to see a plane in Delta's newest livery among all of those decommissioned Tristars. I have never seen so many planes in one picture.

Good god...

I'm still perplexed at how hard the 757/767 was hit by this recession. The MD-80/737 Classic was an obvious victim, but the 757/767? They are very fuel efficient for older aircraft!

Hope they can find new homes. A310s probably can, along with maybe some of the MD-80s/737 Classics. The L1011 is DOA.

A graphic example of real world economic situation and how expensive aviation is, considering the money it requires to be one of the safest things on earth. Perfect capture. Frank frm BUE - E01

The Tri-Star could probably find a home in a museum, but seriously what is a 757 doing there!

Just look at all those 757s ex Aladia - most look like they're ex BY/ZB/TCX from my country - they could be ploughing the Atlantic. Such a Shame

So many TriStars that will never take to the air again. It brings a tear in the eye!

I wonder why the USAF doesn't buy a few of those DC-10's and even L-1011's and convert them to tankers, considering the age of the current fleet.

They really should sell these to the RAF considering that they already use tristars as tankers, this photo just makes me sad seeing that those tristars will probably never fly again :(

How much for the EX monarch 757? Shame to see such beautiful aircraft sat in the desert doing nothing :(

Nice shot- Some Midwest 717's up on top, some with engines stripped? Kind of an odd sight for newer aircraft.
