The Bücker Bü 181 was the standard Luftwaffe basic training plane, as side-by-side instruction in an enclosed cocpit is ideal, from 1940 until the end of WWII. The complete history of this Bü-181 is not known, although it is nearly certain that it flew with the Luftwaffe. In 1959 It was flown in Saarland with the registration SL-AAS and then was registered as D-ECYV. Its final flight was on August 24, 1997 and is now on display at the Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim.
