This Yellow T-28 is very special and this view reveals that its history has since been covered over. It used to have a large hole underneath (where the small holes dive brake on the other one are) and still has its portal type window seen on this side, it was used for Aerial Survey and Photomapping. The obvious difference between it and the other is clear here as the wingspan was increased by 3' for sustained flight at higher altitudes. It was first a USAF T-28A which was delivered complete with a .50 cal MG Pod, it was Hamilton Converted to B then strengthened for Storm Penetrations by Hailswath and the equipment 'room' amidships was linked to the rear cockpit via its floor. Its last upgrade was the HD landing gear added by Kal-Aero founder John Ellis.
