This is a magnificent photo. The silhouettes and heart shaped wake these beautiful planes have left make this almost surreal. Very well done, and long live those beautiful 747s!

It's an Airbus A340-3.. series. Also the turbulence of the jumbo is interesting.

The clouds almost look like they were painted. Amazing! The 747 shows the power and beauty of flight all at once.

I want to give this one ten stars. An incredible sight. Is that the A340 300 though.. the 500 and this seven four would be beyond words.

ATC to 747 "Caution! wake turbulence", 747 to ATC "Excuse me? The wake is behind me" ! Silly joke aside, this is one special photograph! Thanks for sharing Gregory!

That is a very astonishing picture. The most interesting part is of the Boeing 747-400 and the beautiful swirls it created. I like how the aircraft silhouettes contrast from the sky.

Beautiful Shot.
By the way, that A340 is on finals, so that's why the gear is extended ;).

Great Pic. It is an A340-300 as the main landing gear only has10 wheels as aposed to 12 on the -600. Well done. It is interesting how the 747 is so farr behind yet still apears bigger. :)

I love the two heavies together in one incredible shot! Lighting is perfect, the 747 is just peering over the shoulder, like was said below, watching the child test out his wings.

That is amazing! truly a wonderful shot^^by the way, this is a -600 version, has 12 wheels, not only ten like the -300, look closely at the nose part^^

Perfect picture at the perfect moment! It's amazing to see those heavy's making their way through the clouds. 5* Congratulations!

It's actually a -300 series, not a -600 because there are only two wheels in the middle not four.
