Superb lighting, nice contrail, and contast with cloud shadow, nifty siluhuete and besides my son David Black was a copilot on Md 11s with WOA and I flew one in the sim at LGB. So there1

It´s one of the best Photos in the AERO INTERNATIONAL Magazine.

That's a wonderful picture. It reminds me of a flight I took with CSA one year ago. I was flying from Prague to Paris, we were over Germany above an overcast cloud layer when a saw an MD-11 (I think it was an MD-11 Freighter of Saudia Cargo if I remember well) passing just underneath our aircraft in opposite direction. When I see jetstreams from my grandparents's garden I say that the jetstreams are like hope... The airplane give me a... present for remembering it, to enjoy more time of his presence, the jetstreams are a part of it. And, then, it dissapears into the sky and the airplane, into the horizont. Remains only the hope in my soul. The hope to fly.

Its a beautiful contrast of light, the sun is lighting up the water and showing the shadows of the clouds meanwhile the plane is only a dark sillhuette, this is a very nice photo

Interestingly, the engine nr.2 doesn't seem to leave a contrail :)
