The screeners asked the same question and said composite is illegal. So… not correct.

I mean like, this has to be photoshopped no? Even in the darkest of skies away from the city there is no way the sky looks like that.

It just means you've had a very shallow experience.

Sir, I have travelled to 32 countries - to include very rural and undeveloped areas. I assure you my experiences are not shallow.

What it doesn’t make me is a photography expert. Not having seen a photo like this from a ground based camera I started doing some research. Apparently this is possible via long exposures and is called Milky Way & Night Star photography. I learn something new everyday.

I was wrong. Great photo.

Fine. Let me show you some more info about this photo. First, the rocket was launched at Jiuquan Satellites Launch Center, where is in gobi desert. The key word is Bortle scale, it is class 1, it means sky is extremely clear. Second, you can see nothing without lights, milky way cross sky, I use a flashlight to lighting rocket very fast, less than 1s during exposure. Try several times, bingo!

I'm from FL too, never thought I'd be able to see it, until I went down to the Everglades this year. 20-25 sec exposures and fast glass is all it took.
