Good to see Trans Tasman opening up on 19 April, I am just worried one corona case on either side is going to send it crashing down. I'm surprised that they didn't start with a flight each from Air NZ and Qantas with a once a day flight which would be easier to control in case of a coronavirus outbr...
Jump to postThanks for the report, I hadn't realized that Sharp Airlines had stopped flying.
Maybe one suggestion, a few too many photos, I should write a few trip reports, although I do know that they are hard to write and I used to use photobucket but they have now gone and increased their chargers.
So much harsh comments between everyone. Every time September 11 comes up I think about the day, although time does march on, now 16 years ago for everyone still in school then they are learning about it in history not having to live through it. I got to visit the September 11 memorial in New York c...

Jump to postI don't think there is a new website to move to, well maybe Facebook. I will give this website some time to fix the kinks and I see where it ends up, usually I check less than once a day and might stop by a bit more often if a major aviation event occurs. Flyertalk I check about once a day but that ...

Jump to postHi Roseanna, thank you for the update,
Every often in message boards you communicate with people then they just disappear, some find new hobbys and then there are others who have died before their time.
RIP Nick, I didn't realize your time would be up so soon.
And I thought I was having a bad day, Work that is truly sucked, I wanted to quit and tell the manager you have no idea what you are talking about. A couple of weeks ago I was in Japan, woke up in the middle of the night with chest pain, was awake for about 90 minutes when the friend I was sharing t...

Jump to postWhat is the usual seat capacity of the 737-800 against the 737-700.
I thought that a 737-800 usually has more than 150 passengers so would require 4 cabin crew, a 737-700 usually has less than 150 so can get away with 3 cabin crew.
So I think there is still a lot of market for a 737-700.

Jump to postBig shock when the news broke, even the nzherald website had a melt down.
There was a funny line a few years ago, maybe 1994, that said; rugby is a team game and if New Zealand want to win then all the team has to do is pass the ball to Johah Lomu, it showed how good a player he was.

Jump to postGood that Qantas finally confirmed the order for the 8 x 787-900. I am a little surprised at how small the order is, I would have expected 20 with a longer lead time between deliveries. Jump to postSome good ideas on this thread. I would be surprised if Qantas didn't order a few more A380s, with the recent engineering problem with one of the A380 I think they need a spare or at least have a route that the A380 could be subbed for a 787. If Qantas didn't take any more A380s then I would think a...

Jump to postI would be surprised if these planes were converted to 10 abreast, It could add another 30 seats to the plane so I am not sure it is really needed, a 777 of any kind is a big capacity number, and the other part if the plane is already set up with 9 across when its updated wouldn't be it be cheaper t...
