The complete maintenance base is blocked, outside positions are full of Lufthansa widebodies and only the terminal is empty. If you take a closer look a lonesome Austrian A321 is holding the fort. Thanks to Eyjafjallajökull for this once-in-a-hundred-years event! If you think controllers have no work to do then ask for VFR traffic crossing the field every second. Even sailplanes were around today!

Amazing, it looks like a massive Gemini Jets collection.

I hope the situation is brought back under control soon so we can get Europe moving again.

I was there today for my CPL training flight(vfr).. and i was even allowed to do a low approach on rwy 18...it was amazing..but also sad to see all the aircraft on ground..ppl shuld relize the after effects of this big shut down....
