Founded at 1910 'Khodynka' was the major national airport at 30-40s. Later it was test airfield for many Russian planes (first flights of Il-76, Il-86 etc.). The last take off was made at 03.07.2003 (Il-38). Nowdays is closed. You may see the runway (with number of museum's planes on the left) and parts of apron.

Reminds me of Berlin Tempelhof, which unfortunately suffered the same fate just recently.

I was going to say if this was an active airport, that makes all these tenants very brave human being living in the approach path.
