T1 is located at the other side of the runways, which is now exclusively for international flights and Spring Air. The New terminal 2 is an integrated terminal, which is connected with the Hongqiao station(hi-speed railway) at the west side of terminal 2. The middle of the terminal is prepared for the maglev.
