An awesome photo Rainer! The first thing I noticed were the star shaped terminal buildings opposite each other. What this photo tells me is that the design of this airport was given careful thought by the looks of it...

I was fortunate enough to fly in CGN. Very good experience. The long dark rectangle behind the tower is the skylight of underground train station. You can either catch local train to downtown or highspeed ICE train to farther destinations.
