Undergoing repairs on a tropical island. NZ14 was originally scheduled to fly SYD-LAX on July 28. Approximately 8 hours into the flight, the number 3 engine had to be shut down due to bearing failure. Initially attempted to divert to AKL but after a few hours diverted to NAN due to strong headwinds.
